# Computer program for the time-evolution of a nuclear system in relativistic mean-field theory

## Description

Abstract A C-program is presented which calculates the time-evolution of a nuclear system in the framework of relativistic mean field theory (RMFT). Subject to some initial conditions, a coupled system of Dirac and Klein-Gordon partial differential equations describes the evolution of nucleon and meson fields in time. The present version of the program describes isovector dipole, isoscalar and isovector monopole, isoscalar and isovector quadrupole axially symmetric collective motion in a nucleus. ... Title of program: TDRMFT.C Catalogue Id: ADBI_v1_0 Nature of problem Relativistic quantum field models have been successfully applied to nuclear matter and finite nucleus calculations. In comparison with conventional non-relativistic descriptions, relativistic models explicitly include mesonic degrees of freedom, and treat the nucleons as Dirac particles. We use a time dependent version of the relativistic mean field model to investigate the dynamics of small and large amplitude collective motion in nuclei. For a given set of initial conditions (stationary soluti ...
