Description

Title of program: PARJET Catalogue Id: ACFR_v1_0 Nature of problem In high energy e+e- collisions quark-antiquark pairs are produced, which fragment into the observed hadrons. The Monte Carlo code PARJET simulates exclusive hadronic final states produced in e+e--annihilation via a virtual photon by two steps: (i) the fragmentation of the original quark-antiquark pair into further partons using results of perturbative QCD in the leading logarithmic approximation (LLA) and (ii) the transition of these parton jets into hadrons on the basis of a chain decay model.
