Description

Abstract The program XRAY is a FORTRAN 77 computer code for the extraction of fusion cross sections from delayed X-ray measurements. This is accomplished by calculating the theoretical expressions of the time dependence of the evaporation-residue cross sections and taking them as adjustable parameters in a χ2 minimization procedure. Title of program: XRAY Catalogue Id: ABFL_v1_0 Nature of problem One of the experimental methods used to determine nuclear fusion cross sections is based on measurements of the X-rays emitted during the radioactive decay of evaporation residues. This program is used to extract cross sections for the formation of each evaporation residue from the analysis of the time dependence of the corresponding activities.
