Description

Abstract A differential polynomial F[u] is a polynomial expression of the derivatives of the function u(x). A REDUCE program for the integration of differential polynomials is given. The program is tested on the computation of the conserved densities of polynomial evolution equations. Input and output from the test runs are included in the library files. Title of program: INTEG Catalogue Id: ACJG_v1_0 Nature of problem The study of the conserved densities and symmetries of polynomial evolution equations leads to the integration of polynomial expressions of the derivatives of certain functions. Actually differential polynomials have a unique decomposition as "total derivatives" and "functional differential monomials" and integration means finding this decomposition. This cannot be acheived with the standard packages of symbolic programming languages. Versions of this program held in the CPC repository in Mendeley Data ACJG_v1_0; INTEG; 10.1016/0010-4655(92)90013-O This program has been imported from the CPC Program Library held at Queen's University Belfast (1969-2019)
