Abstract We present a new version of the fast generator of atmospheric muons based on parametric formulas (MUPAGE). The parameterization of the deep sea muon flux relies on a primary Cosmic Ray flux and interaction model able to correctly reproduce the flux, the multiplicity distribution, the spatial distance between muons as measured by the underground MACRO experiment [1].
