Description

Abstract The electron virtual photon spectrum is calculated for a finite nucleus in distorted wave methods for E1, E2, E3 and M1 transitions. Evaluation of the external radial integrals is made in terms of a series of incomplete gamma functions. Internal radial integrals are evaluated using charge and current distributions which are model independent up to an incident electron energy of about 200 MeV. Title of program: VPS Catalogue Id: ABBR_v1_0 Nature of problem The virtual photon spectrum accompanying electrons or positrons scattering from an extended nucleus with atomic number A and charge Z is calculated in distorted-wave methods for E1, E2, E3 and M1 multipoles.
